Job description:

An interesting and rewarding placement opportunity to work in a small Market Research company that provides quantitative technological Market Research to customers in a number of business sectors. It involves both office work and field research in variety of environments. Core duties will combine both ‘back-office’ and telephone interviews. Reporting to the Director, tasks and responsibilities will include:

* Telephone interviews with clients and potential clients
* Some face to face Interviews
* Data inputting to the Company’s bespoke Survey Solution
* General office duties
* NB these are indicative duties and as a small company things are liable to rapid change.
* Hours of work normally 36 per week (some out of hours Field Research duties required).

* Excellent spoken English with ability to converse freely
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
* Comfortable with computer technologies
* Professional telephone manner
* Confident & able to work independently as required
* An outgoing and cheerful personality.
* Flexible attitude to what can be a frequently changing environment.

Additional requirments:

Relevant Research experience is desirable but not essential.

* The Company’s main service is to provide quantitative technological Market Research to customers in the UK and Europe.
* They analyse customer perception levels of satisfaction, using the most up to date technologies in the conference market place, in the retail and transport sectors and a variety of others. All their research is designed to act as a catalyst for change.
* They operate from modern ‘serviced’ offices. The building is shared with a number of other businesses

Internship placement location:

* Based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, a pleasant market town midway between Luton and St.Albans.
* Harpenden has some 20,000 residents and a growing number of small to medium sized businesses. It still retains a "village" feel with its tree lined High Street, town greens, period cottages, and Common – 96.39 hectares of open space that supports cricket, football and Golf clubs whilst boasting a County Wildlife Site designation.
* The Town Centre offers eating establishments to cater for all tastes, bespoke shops and supermarkets.
* London is only a 30 minute train journey.
* Luton Airport, less than 5 miles away, acts as a gateway to an extensive choice of European City destinations and beyond.

Remuneration:

Allowance of £600 a month will be provided to assist with accommodation and subsistence costs.
